A teenager, Chisomu Ovu, has been arraigned before a Tinubu
Magistrate’s Court for allegedly defiling a salesgirl.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the alleged crime happened on October
22 when the salesgirl (name withheld), said to be in her mid teens,
went to buy goods at a shop in the Ebute Ero Market, Lagos State.
Our correspondent gathered that 18-year-old Ovu allegedly lured
the victim to a store inside the shop to pack cartons of soap she
had bought and overpowered her. The defendant, it was learnt,
grabbed the salesgirl by the neck while he had carnal knowledge of
her.
The incident was said to have been reported to the police by the
girl’s boss, Funmilayo Agnes.
